apt-get install linux-image-2.6.12-1-powerpc-smp, on either sid or etch, or
from the sarge backports at :

  http://people.debian.org/~luther/kernel

If you really need your own kernels, just grab the
/boot/config-2.6.12-1-powerpc-smp files from those and rebuild it.
