It's been included in current git tree and will show in 2.6.16. You can find it here: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-ide&m=113128446708744&q=p3 I suppose it would probably be a good idea to backport it to debian's 2.6.15 which is (iirc) scheduled to be the kernel shipped with etch...
