That looks like the server is crashing which is weird. Could be a bug in whatever version of X is currently in debian (is that etch ?). X looks like release 7.1.1 and all the modules that matter seem properly compiled against that one... except maybe synaptics. Can you try disabling it see if it makes a difference ?
