I will reinstall Debian on my iBook and tell you what is the outcome. Since I only have 8MB of VRAM, I will have to live with 16 bit colors, which is not a problem to me, as it has the side-effect of being slightly faster. I would like to get compiz working, but I think that it is too much to ask. :-) > > And if yes, does it still enables DMA (which I recall is one of the > > things you told me in the past---when I used to use this list > > frequently)? :-) > > It does for some things, but maybe you're thinking of Xv? If only this iBook's G3 had a bit more power... :-( Thanks, Rogério. -- Rogério Brito : [EMAIL PROTECTED],ime.usp}.br : GPG key 1024D/7C2CAEB8 http://www.ime.usp.br/~rbrito : http://meusite.mackenzie.com.br/rbrito Projects: algorithms.berlios.de : lame.sf.net : vrms.alioth.debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
