"... However, the standard Debian 4.0 kernel image does not support SMP..." I installed the latest Debian 4.0r3 on a IBM POWER4 server (arch is PPC64), and found that the SMP is enabled by default: # uname -a Linux myname 2.6.18-6-powerpc64 #1 SMP Mon Feb 11 16:53:36 UTC 2008 ppc64 GNU/Linux # grep processor /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 processor : 1 Therefore the installation guide is wrong? -- Yan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
