I'm not sure I have enough free disk space to build a kernel from source. I can cross-compile from another Debian machine, but I don't know how to do that. BTW, I have performance problems with 2.6.28 (from upstream) on an x86_64 machine: shell scripts are much slower (e.g. 3.6 times as slow for lesspipe, compared to a 2.6.26.5 kernel under the same conditions). So, perhaps I'll wait before trying. -- Vincent Lefèvre <[email protected]> - Web: <http://www.vinc17.org/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <http://www.vinc17.org/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / Arenaire project (LIP, ENS-Lyon) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
