I did not know how much difference there would be between a 7248 and a 7043
box
I think I can build you an install image on my box and it should work on
yours
if it does boot from the prep partition.
I am in the process of restoring debian etch back on the 7248
I had AIX up for a short while, working on a problem with the graphics
controller.
