If you read the archives, you might find some posts of mine (waaaaay back) when I was first trying to get xine playing a DVD on my iBook G3 600MHz and not being happy with the interlacing effects that were shown (I implemented the linearblend deinterlacer in C in xinelib, while ia32 had already a linearblend deinterlacer in mmx, I think).
