Hi all -- I've just installed lenny on a 12" PowerBook G4 from the 5.0.4 netinst CD. (Yeah, I know that 5.0.5 is out. I downloaded and burned the CD a couple of months ago, and just got around to installing it today. I like netinst because it lets me get away with procrastinating like that.)
The installation and initial boot went just fine, but X11 segfaults on
startup. I tried regenerating xorg.conf with "dpkg --reconfigure
xorg-xserver" and get the same result.
Here is the stdout+stderr of running X:

Obviously the first thing I'm going to do is try to fix those
warnings, if I can figure out where they're coming from. But I
thought a bug report untainted by workaorund attempts would be useful.
Oh yeah, here is the output of lspci:

And I'll attach the /etc/X11/xorg.conf generated by the installer,
i.e. before I tried "dpkg --reconfigure".
Any tips on what I should try next? Ideas that occur to me include:
* rebuild xorg-xserver from source to get a better stack trace
* upgrade to squeeze and see if the problem goes away
* try another distro that has some support for PPC (Arch or Ubuntu
most likely)
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions --
Greg
