Hi Patrick, Which install method did you chose (cd, usb/live, net, etc.); and with which verbosity level (if you don't know let's assume default)?
I am just trying to get a bit more information so that others here, or myself can help you out a bit more. It looks like the install is not so "faultless" and the partitioning and/or root file system is all messed up.
