As a matter of fact, since this bug report is quite old, without any answer, we
would close it in order to do a little cleaning.
I no longer have access to the Epson Stylus printer so I have no idea
whether the bug is reproducible. Perhaps one of the other people who
submitted followups still has a similar printer and can test it. If you
haven't heard from them after a reasonable period I think you should
close the bug.
