Thank you very much. I will now update the Ubuntu-specific patches and
remove the remaining USB quirk patches (they are applied upstream, but
at a different point in the file and therefore the patches still worked,
leading to harmless duplicate entries).

So I've taken some time in the last days to work on CUPS 2.0.x and have
now uploaded 2.0.2-1 to Debian experimental few minutes ago :-).
(It FTBFS on non-linux archs apparently, but that's a first start!)
