--- Begin Message ---Package: hplip Version: 3.18.12+dfsg0-2 Since I upgrade from stretch to buster, I can not use my old scanner any more (HP PSC500 parallel port all-in-one device). I found, that hp-setup as a part of hplip does not support parallel port any longer. But in description of this package it is said. I tried to compile the package by myself, but ends in massive errors. Is it possible to compile the package with parallel support? Thank you for your report, Michael. Buster's hplip version is 3.18.12+dfsg0-2. The changelog for 3.18.3+dfsg0-1 says * Disable deprecated parallel port support Then, in the changelog for 3.19.8+dfsg0-2 * Drop 'parallel-port' mentions in package descriptions (Closes: #933941) Sorry for the time and version gaps. Regards, Brian.
