Hello Guilhem, hello Jonas, might this be a similar or the same issue as in #942055 ?
I took the example file from this issue, created an armel buster chroot and ran it once at my arm5tel device, and once at a armv7l cpu android device (unfortunately with a non-debian kernel). - with the arm5tel cpu I received the "Error reading" message. - with the arm7l cpu no such failure and much more output was produced. The same test with the arm5tel cpu with a bullseye chroot seems also not affected. Therefore my suspicion that gcc in buster produces instructions, which do not work as expected at arm5tel, just at arm7l cpus. Unfortunately I did never involve upstream with #942055, to ask how ghostscript could be debugged, to identify the related functions and prove this suspicion. Kind regards, Bernhard https://bugs.debian.org/942055
