The Debian GNOME team intends to upload gimp 3 RC1 to Unstable soon, for inclusion in the next major stable release of Debian, Debian 13 Trixie. Currently, mtink is not in Debian Testing because gimp was removed from Testing. I think we'll need a custom patch to the build scripts (Makefile.ORG etc.) to stop trying to build a gimp 2 plugin.
