What's wrong with the Debian package from http://www.skype.com/products/skype/linux/ ? Or check http://www1.apt-get.org/search.php?query=skype&submit=&arch%5B%5D=i386
if you prefer apt-get. I don't think, that Windows comes with Skype pre-installed.


For supported wireless cards under linux (not just Debian), check http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz for supported cards.
