I just sent a check to SPI earmarked for the Debian project. The amount would have gone to purchase the next revision of RedHat, but I donated it to Debian instead.
Although it was not easy, I just converted one of my machines to Debian. I hope to eventually be all Debian. Each time I succeed in converting one more machine, I will donate the price of paying another vendor to Debian. After one gets beyond the rough and spare surface, the structure of the Debian distribution is clear and open, and one feels such a sense of relief and freedom, to at last be able to learn and improve with ease as much as one wants.
