Please remember that for the Debian Jr kids project, it is also important to ensure that the system is dead easy for their (maybe and most probably) non-technical PARENTS; if you want a large usergroup that is!
For example, backing up and restoring from disk, cdrom, memory stick or whatever, changing screen resolution, assigning more diskspace for the power-user-kid-dude, restoring a root-hacked system in five minutes flat if the kid has it on the web and gets slammed (just whack in a CD, reboot and wait five minutes for a login prompt!), pr0n detection, filtering, outgoing email delay for parental approval, etc ;)
