What about asking LPI?
I did, last August, when their site still said they'd be publishing the stats "eventually" http://web.archive.org/web/20030704091353/www.lpi.org/en/faq2.html#2.16 There are some figures there now, but still not anything to perform independent analyses from.
Please remember that LPI is only an objective-based pyschometric certification, so there should definitely be room for competency-based and other educational approaches.
