Hmmm, it looks like the other logo is a further `twist' of the Debian logo, moving clockwise (or my imagination is running wild again ;P.) As such, that logo has a very strong likeness to the Debian logo; IANAL but I think any person familiar with the Debian logo will definitely recognize the `sameness' in that other logo.
