"They" has been used for exactly that purpose in English for centuries and is used naturally and routinely by English speakers in common speech. The butchering of English was the futile attempt to impose prescriptive Latin grammar on a non-Latin language and remove constructs like this. Restoring them is undoing the butchering. -- Russ Allbery ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) <http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
