In contrast, http://mozilla.debian.net gives a really nice user experience that can possibly be adapted to live.debian.net or the Debian homepage. I just had a very quick glimpse at it (I do not understand much JavaScript) but there seems to be little magic involved. The "lookup table" part may even be auto-generated.
