There is nothing toxic there: Adrian has reported public facts and
has made a very reasonable question.

There is somebody pushing to replace coreutils with a broken
reimplemenation and vaguely suggesting that Debian is already on board
with it, so I believe that it is useful to know who is behind this to
be able to better understand their motives.
