Use the just installed package in the postinst script

Hello,

I have a python package with postinst script.
I'd like to use my just installed python package IN the postinst script
to setup the necessary database.

Although I am calling a
    update-python-modules
in the postinst, the package is not available, yet.

Do you have any tricks for this scenario?
