I haven't heard any feedback on the git migration plan, but I made one small change for early experimenters.
In https://wiki.debian.org/Python/GitPackaging there used to be a tip indicating that after running setup-repository on git.d.o to set up the team's git branches, you had to re-point HEAD to refs/heads/master. By default setup-repository was using refs/heads/debian/sid. I've now changed setup-repository to point HEAD at refs/heads/master and removed the Tip from the wiki page. Cheers, -Barry
