Hello Debian Python team, I have prepared a Debian package for python-ajsonrpc, a lightweight, asynchronous JSON-RPC 2.0 library.
I have taken ownership of the original ITP for this package, which is #1050212, created in 2023. This is a dependency for another package (platformio) which is blocked by this ITP. The complete packaging, following the gbp workflow is available on Salsa here: https://salsa.debian.org/micl/python-ajsonrpc.git I have prepared the package with the intent for it to be team maintained, and am willing to be the primary maintainer for it as an uploader. My main questions are regarding the next steps. Should I proceed with filing a formal Request for Sponsorship (RFS) bug or is there a different preferred process for new packages intended for the team? Thank you for your time and guidance.
