hi Carl, I took a look at the python-someipy package, up for sponsorship in the Python team:
* d/source/options sets extend-diff-ignore for egg-info files but
IIRC those aren´t used anymore with pyproject (which has dist-info
instead).
* copyright: upstream years also include 2025.
* rules: sphinx build doesn't honour the nodoc build profile (see CI).
* control: the descriptions of the binary packages are nearly
identical. You could make the description part of the source stanza
and reference it (as ${source:Synopsis} and the likes) from the
binary packages to reduce the duplication.
* examples are installed alongside the module rather than into the
documentation package?
