hi Kienan, I took a look at the python-vermin package, up for sponsorship in the Python team:
* control: binary pkg suggests a non-existent documentation pkg.
* control: synopsis should be rephrased, see [1].
* control: it's customary and convenient to list the Maintainer and
Uploaders fields side-by-side.
* d/upstream/metadata file is missing, please add.
* rules, tests: your custom pybuild test setup and autopkgtest only
run the upstream testsuite with the default Python version, i.e.
whatever "python3" points to. Please test with all support Python
versions.
Pybuild provides variables such as {interpreter} that may come in
handy in d/rules; in an autopkgtest context you'd typically execute
tests from an otherwise empty dir ($AUTOPKGTEST_TMP) and loop over
$(py3versions -s).
See 'man pybuild' and [2,3] for real-life examples.
* d/source/options: sets extend-diff-ignore for an egg-info directory,
but that isn't used anymore with pybuild-plugin-pyproject.

Once the above comments have been addressed, simply re-add the
package to the IRC channel topic and/or ping me by e-mail.
