Hi all,
a short follow-up to my request to join the team, with the details I
left out yesterday.
The package I would like to adopt is dh-virtualenv, orphaned in #1141903:

I have now sent the ITA and I am recorded as owner of the bug. I would
like to maintain it within the team, with the Team as Maintainer and
myself as Uploader.
I have already prepared an update on my Salsa fork:

It is a gbp repository following the team layout (debian/master, upstream,
pristine-tar, patches unapplied, managed with gbp pq). Besides the
adoption, it:
- ports the test suite from nose to pytest, so it runs at build time
again;
- fixes `dh --with python-virtualenv` with debhelper compat >= 12;
- fixes the dh_virtualenv buildsystem with virtualenv >= 20;
- gives a clear error for --setuptools-test with setuptools >= 72;
- fixes a race in the shebang rewriting that made a test flaky;
- resolves the remaining upstream TODOs.
Upstream (spotify/dh-virtualenv) has been inactive since 2020, so the
fixes are carried as patches and will be forwarded upstream.
Once I am in the team I would move the repository to
python-team/packages/dh-virtualenv. As I am not a DD/DM yet, I would also
be grateful for a sponsor and for any review of the packaging.
