Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "patch-manager":

 * Package name     : patch-manager
   Version          : 0.3.2-1
   Upstream contact : Simon Glass <[email protected]>
 * URL              : https://github.com/nxtboot/patman
 * License          : GPL-2+
 * Vcs              : https://salsa.debian.org/sjg1/patch-manager
   Section          : vcs

The source builds the following binary packages:

  patch-manager - create, check and email patch series with Patchwork
integration

To access further information about this package, please visit:

  https://salsa.debian.org/sjg1/patch-manager

The packaging uses gbp with DEP-14 branches (debian/latest,
upstream/latest, pristine-tar) and can be built with:

  gbp clone https://salsa.debian.org/sjg1/patch-manager.git
  cd patch-manager && gbp buildpackage

Changes for the initial release:

 patch-manager (0.3.2-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Initial release. (Closes: #1150629)

Notes:

 * This is patman, the patch-series tool from U-Boot, now developed as
a standalone project (PyPI: patch-manager) and used by other
email-based projects too. It provides the 'patman' command.
 * It depends on python3-u-boot-pylib (ITP #1150622, separate RFS),
which needs to be uploaded first.
 * Salsa CI passes apart from piuparts and autopkgtest, which fail
only because python3-u-boot-pylib is not yet in the archive:
https://salsa.debian.org/sjg1/patch-manager/-/pipelines/1188197
 * The optional AI-review feature needs claude-agent-sdk, which is not
in Debian, so it is not pulled in; the rest of the tool works without
it.
 * The package is intended to be maintained within the Debian Python
Team; I am the upstream author.

Regards,
Simon
