After typing in my password it just sits there without logging in or giving any error message. If I take a look on the newly setup potato system a sshd2 will show 99% CPU utilization. The config files are the default that come with the package except I switched from port 2222 to 22 in both /etc/init.d/ssh2 and /etc/ssh2/sshd2_config On my main workstation with a potato install ssh2 works fine. My main workstation was a slink install updated to potato. I also have another machine that was a slink install updated to potato that the ssh doesn't work correctly either. All of these systems are synced up to the latest potato. If I get the ssh debian source and recreate a deb package and install it it works fine. This is what I did to do that. apt-get source ssh2 dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -us -uc dpkg -i ssh2_2.0.13-3_i386.deb Here are the versions of things ssh2 depends on: ii libc6 2.1.2-10 ii libncurses4 4.2-3.4 ii xlib6g 3.3.5-2 Kernel version: Linux cin 2.2.12 #1 Thu Oct 14 09:29:24 EST 1999 i686 unknown Shared C library: /lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.1.2.so --------------------------------------- Received: (at 51214-done) by bugs.debian.org; 29 Dec 2002 10:55:33 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Dec 29 04:55:33 2002 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from smtpzilla3.xs4all.nl [194.109.127.139] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.12 1 (Debian)) id 18Sb6T-0002Lr-00; Sun, 29 Dec 2002 04:55:33 -0600 Received: from kalypso (ramstraat29.xs4all.nl [80.126.10.231]) by smtpzilla3.xs4all.nl (8.12.0/8.12.0) with ESMTP id gBTAtWp6012990 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 29 Dec 2002 11:55:32 +0100 (CET) Received: from bas by kalypso with local (Exim 3.36 #1 (Debian)) id 18Sb6R-0003lj-00 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 29 Dec 2002 11:55:31 +0100 From: Bas Zoetekouw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Your ssh2 bug Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Bas Zoetekouw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 29 Dec 2002 11:55:31 +0100 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-0.7 required=5.0 tests=SPAM_PHRASE_02_03 version=2.41 X-Spam-Level: Hi! Ssh2 was removed from the Debian archive this morning. It's replacement, openssh (ssh package), does not seem to be affected by this bug; therefore, I'm closing it. Kind regards, Bas Zoetekouw.
