Hello! When running a kernel that handles non-executable memory (PAE mode), it is preferred to have applications that do not have an executable stack for security. The small attached patch has been carried[1] by Fedora for some time now, and fixes this issue. (There are several others[2] in there, but I haven't reviewed them.) I've included this in Ubuntu now as well. Thanks! -Kees [1] http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/bogl/bogl-0.1.18-noexecstack.patch?view=markup [2] http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/devel/bogl/ -- Kees Cook @debian.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qa-packages-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
