Sorry, the DB_CONFIG is a red herring: I just rebooted and it started giving me the "Deferred: No such file or directory" for every new piece of mail, but the DB_CONFIG file is still in the directory.
So now I'm stumped. I can manually connect to my imap server's lmtp socket (cyrus) and deliver mail by hand, so I know the imap server is working. I'm not sure how to debug sendmail though. Nothing in strace is giving me any clues. -David
