This ./configure script detects a number of aspects using the (build architecture) compiler. Mixing these features is going to produce broken binaries. Making splitvt work requires fixing its ./configure. There already is a patch for that: #912605. I consider this bug a duplicate of #912605 and therefore close it. Helmut
