Hello, The package *autopsy* currently installs version *2.24-3* of Autopsy, which was released in 2010, current version of Autopsy is *4.15 *(see Autopsy 4 : https://www.autopsy.com/download/), it has major improvements, is written in Java (compatible with Linux), offers a convenient GUI, and is compatible with modern addons.
It would be great if it were up-to-date, not sure if there are reasons for keeping version 2.24-3. If more installation instructions are necessary, I'll be glad to help.
