$ transmission-remote-gtk ** (transmission-remote-gtk:1104714): ERROR **: 09:48:43.826: JSON decoding error: JSON data must be UTF-8 encoded Trace/breakpoint trap Using the trial packaging 1.6.0-0.1 see bugs.debian.org/1086763 it still gets the error, but pops up a dismissable error popup "JSON data must be UTF-8 encoded" and does not crash, but also aborts connecting.
