--- Begin Message ---Package: sawfish-themes Version: 0.13 Severity: normal Dear maintainer! * What led up to the situation? I installed sawfish-themes and tried to select the Finalstep theme. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Open the Sawfish root menu, select Customise, Sawfishconfig, double click on Appearance and select Finalstep from the theme drop down. * What was the outcome of this action? A dialog box titled Sawfish error saying: "While changing default-frame-style: Unbound variable: intermediate" After clicking ok in the dialog the selected theme remains unchanged. * What outcome did you expect instead? The theme to be changed to Finalstep. If i open /usr/share/sawfish/themes/FinalStep/theme.jl and remove all lines containing ":user-level" the problem is resolved. According to the Sawfish info manual, in "News" under the heading '1.6.0 "Sound Of Thunder"' one of the incompatible user visible changes were: - Deletion of 'user-level' property (This affects almost none.) There has been a defcustom property 'user-level'. It has been deprecated for years, and it's now deleted. And Sawfish in Debian stable is now at 1.11. For the record, :user-level is also used in a number of other themes: /usr/share/sawfish/themes/SawthenaForever/theme.jl /usr/share/sawfish/themes/Titanium/theme.jl /usr/share/sawfish/themes/Greene2.0/theme.jl /usr/share/sawfish/themes/Empire/theme.jl They can not be selected either with variations of the same Sawfish error dialog box. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.4 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_FIRMWARE_WORKAROUND Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=C (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages sawfish-themes depends on: ii sawfish 1:1.11.90-1.1 Versions of packages sawfish-themes recommends: ii xfonts-100dpi 1:1.0.4+nmu1 ii xfonts-75dpi 1:1.0.4+nmu1 ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.5 sawfish-themes suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
