The xanim program is registered as MIME viewer and displays a banner when
started:
$ xanim haystacks.jpg

$
This behaviour is very annoying, for example, when you click on a picture
in netscape and xanim is launched--you get an extra netscape window just
for the banner line.
IMO, xanim should be changed to only display the banner when a "-V" or
"--version" option is specified--just like other UNIX programs.
