Subject: default port conflicts
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

Package: mserver, vncserver
Version: 0.21-3, 3.3.1-5

        The default ports in the config file of mserver conflict with the
ports vncserver allocates for vnc connections. The port range is 5800 -
58xx.

        I think it would be easier to change the default config file in
mserver instead of messing with the vnc code to change the ports it uses
by default.

 mserver (0.23a-2) unstable; urgency=3Dlow
 .
   * No reaction from upstream regarding these patches; applying anyway:
     * Use 8500 as default port to avoid conflicts with vncserver.
       Closes: #22713.
     * tcpconn.c: When the `-d' option is specified without an argument,
       allocate a pseudo-terminal automatically, print its name, and fork
       to background -- e.g. `minicom -p $(tcpconn -d localhost)'.
       Closes: #24660.
     * mserver.c (connect_netmodem), stty.c (stty_clocal): Unused
       variables removed.
     * stty.c (stty_raw): Do the equivalent of cfmakeraw(3).
   * mserver.c (create_lock, connect_netmodem): Add a trailing newline to
     lock files (per FHS =A75.6).
