Hi, i mailed to the actual uploader [0] of mined about the copyright holder and i got this response: -- Hello Mauro, originally (i.e. ~ 20 years ago), we took mined from the Minix operating system which was a free academic project, and the mined.doc file did not mention a copyright. So no, I do not think the original author could claim a copyright. Also he is not reachable on the net, I had already tried that a few years ago. While talking about the Debian package, it has not been updated for 3 years meanwhile (I'm at version 2000.14), although I sent email notices to the packager maintainer occasionally. Would you kindly take on the task of updating the package? Can I include you in my update version mailing list? Thanks a lot, kind regards, Thomas Wolff -- So basically, besides fixing these lintian warnings, i'll do a package of the newest version (though im not sure about adopting it, because im not sure if i could fix eventual bugs (im not a really good C programmer)) But about the copyright with no copyright, i got no answer, what should i do in this case?
