Hi, kdevelop crashes when a file from a git repository is open, the file changes due to some external action (possibly some git command), and kdevelop finds no codec for the (incorrectly?) guessed encoding. It doesn't happen all the time, maybe there are more factors involved. But in some of my projects it happens multiple times a day. This has been fixed upstream in https://github.com/KDE/kdevelop/commit/9968be28b7374f62421b4e2c2fce1bceb0b651b4 This change is also on the release/25.04 branch and should be fixed by the version curently in experimental. Could you consider this patch for a stable update?
