Many thanks for the work. I can confirm that the version currently in Debian Sid is working correctly. As a result I am marking this bug as done. It is safe to discard/revert the changes in Experimental as it was origially only intended for a test-build in real Debian buildds to verify the correctness of upstream zxing compatibility fixes.
