Package: kaudiocreator Version: 4:3.5.5-1 Severity: important -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
I just tried to encode a CD called "Cruisin'". KAudioCreator doesn't escape special characters, including single-quotes, in the command line. This causes the encoding process (using oggenc in this case) to fail if the track or album metadata contains these unescaped quotes or other characters. This should be simple to fix. It's been filed upstream for ten months at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117462 Maybe Debian could fix it sooner... :) - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages kaudiocreator depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.5a-1 core libraries and binaries for al ii kdemultimedia-kio-plugins 4:3.5.5-1 enables the browsing of audio CDs ii libartsc0 1.5.4-1 aRts sound system C support librar ii libasound2 1.0.13-1 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.12.3-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libkcddb1 4:3.5.5-1 CDDB library for KDE ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.6-4 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-13 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages kaudiocreator recommends: ii flac 1.1.2-5 Free Lossless Audio Codec - comman ii vorbis-tools 1.1.1-6 several Ogg Vorbis tools - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFMfjk5+GdyTDsrJsRArtpAKDKz4S5h1p3RXTywuLp2tPPohGG9QCfR+gI txgfsBRF2Rxo16amfJ6/k6U= =f4dv -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
