After yesterday's and today's update (i.e. I did not observe the problem
before), kcmshell (called from kcontrol), after I enter root password,
says "Wrong password" and gives me another try. The password is OK. I
tried it about 10 times, always with the same result,
but switching to root via su is without problems.
I also noticed this problem yesterday on another computer - the same
distribution, different kernel (although 2.6.17 as well), different
packages installed. It happened when I wanted to run k3bsetup from k3b
(but running k3bsetup via su was perfectly possible).
