Using telnet the escape character is ^] (Ctrl + ]), in Italian layout the ] symbol is located on the third level of + (Alt Gr + +) and to insert escape I used Ctrl + Alt Gr + +; after last updates this combination is recognized as Ctrl + + leading to a change in fonr size; I found that Ctrl + Alt + Alt Gr + + is working for escape but it's also not standard for the use of the keyboard.
