--- Begin Message ---Package: xscreensaver Version: 5.05-3 Severity: important If you are switched to a virtual terminal e.g. ctrl-alt-f1 then the X session does not lock. The old behaviour in etch: when you switched back to the X session ctrl-alt-f7 the screen would momentarily display the old screen before the screensaver appeared and the password dialog popped up. (assuming you had been switched away for long enough) In lenny there is no locking at all, you can switch to ctrl-alt-f1 for arbitrary lengths of time and when you switch back ctrl-alt-f7 the screen is not locked. (IMO, even the old behaviour with etch was a minor problem, if you were quick with a camera you could grab a snapshot of what was on the screen. But the current behaviour is a serious bug.)
