I am checking if kate support them. Looking on the documentation -> https://docs.kde.org/stable5/en/applications/katepart/config-variables.html mention an option about configuration search depth (that seems not exist anymore) and looking on the internet seems that the behaviour used to locate and load .editorconfig is the same of kateconfig files. So I don't find a way right now to specify where is the editorconfig or what to do specifically.
Someone has suggestions?
