The C++ plugin for kdevelop, based on LLVM/Clang, should be already compatible with Clang 7. The Debian package of kdevelop already depends on the default version of llvm/clang (see libclang-dev, and llvm-dev among the other build dependencies), so a simple rebuild will change the dependency. Since you seem to care about this, what about instead direct your efforts towards a successful migration of src:llvm-defaults (that switches the default from LLVM 6 to 7) to testing, since it is stuck in unstable for more than a month? -- Pino Toscano
