Package: qtwayland5 Version: 5.11.2-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
QtWayland consists of a client part (providing the qpa platform plugin) and a compositor part (providing an API to implement a Wayland server). In Debian it's not possible to just install the client part. Thus the Plasma session requires to install the server components, although it doesn't use anything of it. This results in a wrong impression that KWin depends on Qt compositor. Overall this package is just weird. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-debug') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.18.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages qtwayland5 depends on: ii libc6 2.27-8 ii libegl1 1.1.0-1 ii libgcc1 1:8.2.0-9 ii libgl1 1.1.0-1 ii libqt5core5a [qtbase-abi-5-11-2] 5.11.2+dfsg-4 ii libqt5gui5 5.11.2+dfsg-4 ii libqt5waylandclient5 5.11.2-3 ii libqt5waylandcompositor5 5.11.2-3 ii libstdc++6 8.2.0-9 ii libwayland-client0 1.16.0-1 ii libwayland-egl1 1.16.0-1 ii libwayland-server0 1.16.0-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.7-1 ii libxcomposite1 1:0.4.4-2 qtwayland5 recommends no packages. qtwayland5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
