Hello David, I am not involved in packaging, just tried to collect some more information to this old bug.
I guess your issue migth not be that one discussed in this bug. At least you might be able to provide the output of 'dmesg', if in your case konsole really crashes. Or after installing the package systemd-coredump and another attempt to open konsole, you should receive more details at the bottom of 'journalctl --no-pager', if this really is a crash. If there is no usable information it is most likely a different issue, and you might look to the bottom of your ~/.xsession-errors after retrying to start konsole, and you may open a new bug then.
